Can you believe it, another year is winding down. How did your business do in 2013? Did you keep up with technology? Were you part of the growing e-commerce holiday shopping surge? Did you create an app or a mobile site? The options available are endless. Here are some suggestions of how to gear up for the best success in 2014.

1. Mobile. I know its beating a dead horse, but it is predicted that by the end of 2013 there will be more mobile devices on earth than people. Is your business reaching them? If your website is not mobile ready or responsive then you need to fix that ASAP. It's not just small businesses that are lagging either. There are some high-end brands that have unusable mobile sites. When 72% of tablet users are making purchases from their devices weekly, its time to get with the times and make your sites assessable.

2. E-commerce. E-commerce goes hand in hand with mobile. But take this holiday shopping season, for instance, Black Friday and Cyber Monday were online hits! Some data shows Cyber Monday shopping grew by 30%. Did your business have a piece of that 30% increase?

3. Apps. Whether you are building for iPhone/iPad, Andriod or desktop application apps were huge this year. Apple this year added its one millionth app! With no signs of slowing down. Statistics show that they are adding 25,000 to 30,000 apps per month!

Now, these three key items only scratch the surface of technology options available to boost your business. Your company may also benefit from System Integration, Digital Product Catalogs or Web Application Development to name a few. The possibilities of moving your business forward by embracing technology are endless. Technology or custom programming can automate your business, take you paperless and make your office more efficient. Chances are that if you have dreamed of a system that would make your or your staffs job easier and reduce human errors it can be developed to your specification.

It's a new year, new dreams, new goals to meet. Don't let another year pass without seeing what technology can do for your business! What are your company's 2014 goals? What part does technology play in achieving them. 2014 is two days away time to start planning today!
