Nasa on Apple TV, today in Apple history, Apple Watch, iOS 10 and we're hiring in today's tech news.

Uncategorized

Here we are another Wednesday so that must mean it's time for tech news. It seems it was a bit of a light week, news-wise, but I still came up with a few things to share. Let's take a look.

1. NASA Apple TV app. Yes, you read that right, NASA has an app on Apple TV and it offers real-time views of the Earth from the space center! The app has been downloaded 17 million times on iOS and Andriod. Now on Apple TV, you can see photos, mission information, and 3D satellite maps.

2. Today in Apple history: Taylor Swift. A year ago yesterday there was the public social media battle between Apple and Taylor Swift.  And on June 22, 2015, Apple listened and backed down. Or did they? Was this "feud" a farce to help grow Apple Music? Taylor seemed to jump in with both feet after Apple's apology with video ads for Apple Music, including my favorite, Taylor vs. Treadmill. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fK_zwl-lnmc

3. New Apple Watch hints. New patents for Apple hint at a camera for the Apple Watch as well as more button functionality.

4. Hands on with iOS 10. A beta tester gives us a review of the new things in Apple Music and Apple News.

5. We're hiring. Are you a custom software developer with expert level PHP skills? If so, come join us in our suburban Chicago office. We are casual and laid back. We play darts, talk Game of Thrones, use standing desks (if you're so inclined) have free breakfast Mondays and free lunch Fridays!  Best of all, we develop high-end code from scratch to suit client specifications. If you or someone you know is interested have them contact me ASAP!

Have you read any good tech news this week, I would love if you shared it with me, I may need more reading material today if the heavy storms come thru that are supposed to last well into the evening. Happy reading!
